I too am not speaking for anyone here,just gonna offer my observations from recent postings.
The posting/pestering the DEVS concerning WHAT'S NEXT,WHAT'S NEXT is downright rude,disrespectful,& comes across as ungrateful.If one bothered to take a good look @ the HINTS that is front & center when opening up CM7,you'd see that pestering the DEVS concerning WHAT'S NEXT is frowned upon,to say the least.
To those who are wanting ETA'S on further development,try sending the developers a donation to support the cause.
Talk is cheap,development costs time & money.So,keep that in mind the next time you ask for something the developers have provided for us here,free of charge.

You should see all the whining over at the land of the Esteem! I just keep telling them to learn to port/compile themselves and quit nagging it isnt being done fast enough for them.

Honestly Im loving the stock ROM.
 
u guys have a point there these developers have worked so hard on the ascend i mean i think they did a really great awesome job

Not to long ago just in ROM manager alone there was over 10,000 downloads for the ascend. Imagine if everyone of them donated a dollar or even 50 cents? Devs would have a little more free time most likely. People fail to realise they DON'T get paid to do it...

That money could go towards supplying the DEVS w/phones to work with & kick in some well-deserved donations for the countless hours spent on development.
If everyone kicked in $5,that would be enough to purchase almost every ANDROID PHONE & TABLET towards development.

UPDATE:
ICE CREAM SANDWICH 4.0.1 has been ported to the one ANDROID that started it all......the T-MOBILE G1.
A bit rough,as it too has a 528 mHz processor,but,its up & running.See PHANDROID NEWS 11-23-11 for the link.

So,ICS could possibly make it to the ASCEND,but,the ball is in our court,the end users,not the developers.If the community wants it bad enough,now is the time to show your support for the development community.
 
Well if its made u guys think is there a way where u can take make the signal bars read correctly and stay steady??

Haha.. The esteem forum should be renamed when are we gonna get a ROM :D i'm happy with stock until something comes along.. Though an oc button would be nice :D

ascend will not get a official update as the cpu is not good enough for one thing, but its barely got 2.2 and 2.3 had to be build for it, and some ascend cant handle 2.2 or 2.3, remember after the update and even before the update when cm6/7 drop, some peoples couldnt even get past the boot loader.:eek:

the esteem and other high end phones and some low end phone will kill ICS running on 800mhz and up.
