Root ICS Status bar?

I won't have access to my PC until Tuesday night so that's when ill start development. Might be able to theme some system apps to hold us over for cm9 as well.

Actually my wife was nice enough to let me "borrow" her pc while she is at work ;) lol

Testing out a zip theme now and if all goes well i will start a new topic with the zip.

and by borrow he means the conversation went like this "Hey sweetie, I'm going to use your laptop 'k'."
her: "WHAT!...NO!"
Him "Okay, I won't don't worry...*boots laptop*"
LOL

I haven't seen ICS outside of tablets. Might take a look at the mobile version though, seems a lot of people like it.
 
If you send me your settings.apk I could Make it look ics-like

I did this for the esteem. Note that it'll only change the sections in which stuff is grouped, the font color itself is changed somewhere else. Visit the esteem all things root guide for more of my tutorials. I'm not trying to redirect anyone away from the connect section, I'd just rather teach ppl than to just say "here, flash this"
 
Little update: I got the wifi themed for the status bar, and everything else is coming along just fine. This has been a HUGE ordeal to learn for me lol. But its getting there!

Your telling me! Lol I was up till 2am last night just to scrap everything and start over today. Ugh lol. But its looking good so far lol. Eventually ill need a guinea pig to test my update.zip and see if it works before fully releasing to everyone.
 
Most of the status bar is themed. Basically missing the rest of the battery and charging animations. Anyone with advanced want to give it a go? Ill send you the files.

Make sure both framework and systemui are both themed batterywise, the esteem had battery charging pngs in both apks
