Help ICS Update

Ok. I got a message that I have the ICS update. I have tried to back up my phone using Keis, but I cannot get my pc to totally recognize my phone. Should I update without backing up my data?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've waited so long for the update and I can't get it to work.

That depends. Can you live without the data? The most important would be contacts, appointments, etc. Maybe these aren't critical and you can resync them if you sync with Google.

Definitely stay away from backing up programs and system files. Restoring these can have an ill effect on a new install.

If there is no critical data you need, you shouldn't need to worry. But be aware. It's always best to hard wipe first before updating to a newer OS. Then another wipe after updating. This should minimize the chances of encountering problems later.

Just upgraded to ICS today and still testing it out. So far the only problem I have is the OEM Mail app I use for my Exchange server now goes to a black screen for a few minutes then crashes. GMail works OK though. Any ideas?

Bluetooth will no longer connect to my Logitech Z515 speaker. First it would show up under "Available devices" with the "Bluetooth" catagory under "Settings ", but when I would try to select it for pairing, it would come back with "ATTENTION- Unable to pair with Z515 speaker. Incorrect PIN or password". After a few attempts, now it doesn't see it at all. Worked fine with no extra steps needed at all under Gingerbread.

That happened with my car stereo bluetooth. I had to delete it and re-pair it and it worked fine after that.

I've been using Touchdown successfully for Exchange since Android 1.6, it's still working fine in ICS.

Got it working again. Had to go in to phone settings/applications and click on the all tab. Clicked on "email" app then cleared all data, recreated account and works just like before.

I didn't backup my phone, I lost a grand total of absolutely nothing.

You aren't for certain going to lose anything, it's just possible.
