Help ICS version?

what version of ICS are all of you guys on?
i've had the update available to me since they started announcing them rolling it out, but i decided to wait and hold out till i heard some reviews about it.

now all i see is problem after problem, and it seems to be the 4.0.3 that is the culprit., even my friends who have it on their galaxy nexus have problems with 4.0.3.

has ICS on GS2 received the 4.0.4 yet?
i'm really thinking about staying with gingerbread with all these stupid problems, samsung doesnt fail to disappoint once again.

I won't exactly blame ICS. As Ironass mentioned in another thread, since you are changing platforms (so to speak), it is much better to do a factory reset before the update. A lot of problems is due to not doing that. Everyone who has got the update done right mentioned that ICS gives a smoother experience.

That said, if you are not willing to do a factory reset, I don't see what the problem is to just stick with GB.

thanks russell, as i am kind of getting bored for launcher pro/GB, i think i might update, heard there are some launchers that somewhat look like the stock android, so i might give that a go.

On GB still. Not intending to update since I really don't like having to go through all the games again

Unless I can figure out where the apps keep their saved games and can transfer them out. Either that, or play the games complete first before update. I have every intention to do a factory reset post update.

Anyway, I know ICS is already available, but its not the end of the world without it.

All ICS updates for the SGSII are Android 4.0.3, although some custom ROM's claim to offer Android 4.0.4, which is currently available, as stock, on the SGS3 and Nexus and is only a very small update as denoted by the firmware code.

However, within that Android 4.0.3 release there are a number of ICS releases. Ranging from the initial release, LPQ, through LP7, LP8, LP9, LPS, LPW, LPC, LPD, LPE, LPF and LPG. These updates contain changes, sometimes related to location and/or carrier. For instance, the latest LPG firmware for Spain contains the following changes:-

Includes TMT (Montenegro)
Some minor changes in Spain (FOP) operator settings - updated operator names, bookmarks no longer locked, SMS definitions, APNs now editable, etc.
Minor changes in France (VGF) - Changed startup URL from operator's site to google
