Help ICS vs Gingerbread memory requirement

I have a lot of stuff running at my phone, including, quite frankly, poorly coded, 'leaky' apps like Viber... the point being I am one of the sufferers of the white htc screen and the Sense launcher always 'loading' when I come out of an app.

2 questions for any Sensation users running ICS:

1: Has android, as a process, (or maybe I am talking about Sense UI as a process), finally been protected from closing and reloading when you go back to the home screen? (This questions only really applies to people who suffer the problem that I do in the first place)

2: I know ICS is supposedly way faster a system than gingerbread, but regardless, how much memory does it use compared to gingerbread?

Thanks all.

Any memory hungry application forces the htc white screen and the sense re-load. Even a well written Gameloft app.

I think the issue is that in order to cope, the phone shuts down certain non essential apps to try to manage the memory.

The fix is really in htcs hands by increasing the ROM and RAM. Having an OS using over 75% of avail ROM is silly...

My memory stat is currently showing 563 available and only 110 free... And that's out of an advertised 768 mb advertised. I only have this app running...

I hope ICS is much better at memory management.

yea, tis is exactly what i'm worried about
Hi..
I am also facing exactly the same problem with my Desire HD. White screen and Sense crashing now and then.
More over it keep killing the resent apps used like browser etc which in turn make the multitasking feature in vain.
I am also looking forward for the new ICS OS, hoping that it solves this issue.

But isn't there any way yet to overcome this issue.
It seems there is no sort of support from HTC itself.
