ICS, when do we get it?

I say May 1. This reminds me of the old htc incredible days ..."when are we getting gingerbread" threads...we need a poll.

I'm hoping its closer to May than June or July, but at least we're getting it. Do you all think Motorola will really screw with it? I'm hoping we get a more "pure google" experience, but maybe that's just my wishful thinking.

Well, they're supposed to be owned by Google, but we'll see how it pans out.

Google has stated that they're not going to run Motorola Mobility per say, but I do hope they give them some helpful hints.

If it was pure, then i think it would be out already, or maybe by the end of February . My Xoom already has it, and it was pushed by moto.

Technically speaking, the Xoom is a Google Experience device, and debuted Honeycomb. It's only logical for it to be one of the first, along with the Nexus S.

Poor Nexus One... Someone will put ICS together for it, I'm sure.

LOL 800th post.

The initial announcement back in November was Q1 2012. If they hold to that, then March 31, 23:59:59 HAST

I'm not sure but to be honest i'm not sure about the while pure google experience. I flashed a ROM on my bionic and it was more pure than blur but I went back to stock because I missed a bunch of the blur widgets and kinda missed blur all together. I'm happy to have a skinned ics from motorola..

I may stand alone there though...

reason i say June/July is because Gingerbread came to the Nexus devices in December of 2010...then GB finally landed on the DX June of 2011.

I would like to have a choice. Put blur on my phone but give me the opportunity to disable it and run pure android if I want. If I like blur, I'll go back to it. If I can set up pure android the way I like it without blur, why should that offend Moto or V?

If this is what Moto not blur looks like on ICS, then I'm game: Rumored Motorola Medfield phone images, camera specs surface | The Verge

I think it would be incredibly complicated to switch Android frameworks between stock AOSP and Motorola customizations. It's not just a change in launchers.
