Identify This Snake?

Anyone good with snakes? I caught this baby this morning in works break room. Usually I am quick to identify but my years of wildlife in Alabama and Missouri have screwed me up here in Ohio. If it makes a difference, I am located the Northeast Ohio.

Thought corn snakes were all red but I was wrong. Quick search on black corn snake brought up a bunch like this:
Black.jpg

ie. your snake is a corn

You might run an ad in the local paper, or look for "lost snake" ads; it could be somebody's escaped pet snake.

That is the dreaded Ohioan Brown Back Breakroom Snake. They can grow up to 17 miles long and eat school busses ... at least that's what my contact at the x-file division of the FBI tells me.

...or, it could be the new corporate attorney taking a break. Did it have a briefcase?

i have a 6 year old Dumeril Boa. name is Hades. he is the most calm and well mannered snake i have ever owned. he rocks.

lol. Wow. I'm surprised the poor thing wasn't instantly killed.

Glad to see there are some open minded people out there.. so many people think I'm crazy when I say there are benefits to having more nonpoisonous snakes around..

On the flipside I want a pet reptile of my own.. I love reptiles.. maybe something more like a monitor of some type... I was once recommended to get an argus x.x

More people need to be educated. Non poisonous snakes will keep the rodent population down. Give me a few snakes over a few rats any day.

btw, I used to have a female ball python. Named it Monti :D

What kind?
I have 2 Irian Jaya carpet pythons :D I have 4 Leopard geckos and a Greek tortoise too, and a German Shepherd...I'm full up!
I am also baby-sitting a Corn and Brazilian Rainbow boa (son's).

Fluffy is a 7' foot Columbian Red Tail and Mittens is a 2' Kenyan Sand Boa. We used to have an Amazon Tree Boa that we named S.O.B. (What we said every time he would strike the tank when we walked by), but he was SO aggressive that we had to find him a new home. I won't have a snake that I am unwilling to handle. It makes taking care of it too hard.

Hi XtremeAaron. Ok, Eyebette asked a coworker who happens to breed and sell milk snakes and has 200+ living in his basement and he is quite sure the snake pictured is a Eastern Milk Snake. In fact, he's really curious to know where you found it, down to the county, and says he'll take a pair of 'em if you can find another, thank you. :)
