Help Identifying and moving an Android taken photo

What is the best way of copying an Android taken photo from a smartphone to a computer?

The simplest method is probably to connect the device to the pc with a usb cable. If it's not the default, you might have to swipe down the notification bar and change the usb from charge only to MTP.

Via Dropbox, Google drive or install and run an app which sets your phone as an FTP server. You can then access the files in a web browser. Many file managers do this as well as lots of apps on playstore. X-plore is a good file manager.

hi,
Install this app [google photos] from play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.photos&hl=en.

Tap on the share icon at top.
Select google photos icon, tap to upload.
Next screen, tap on the upload button below the screen.
After uploading finished,
open computer>google> click on apps menu ,select google photos, see photos there.

Need more help...............
When I open the app, I'm already looking at two photos. Is this the open gallery?
I then tap on the photo and it fills the screen. But I don't see any share icons on the top. No icons at all.
What does the share icon look like?

When you've opened up a photo in Google Photos and it's filled your screen, there should be a taskbar at the bottom. On the left side there's an icon with three interconnected (partially) dots. Tap on it and a box should pop up with lot of icons to different apps on your phone. Pick your email app, or your texting app, or whatever to attach that photo you're viewing.
Also, don't just install the Google Photos app and leave it as is, be sure to go into its Settings and make sure the 'Back up & sync' option is enabled. While Google Photos is a pretty good photo library manager, you should take advantage of its automatic backup and syncing feature. It's also a good idea to just take a test pic on your phone, wait a couple of minutes, and then hop on a computer and using a web browser to log into your Google account at https://photos.google.com to confirm that test photo is there.
