Help ideos x5 pc suite problems

hey i got my ideos about 2 days ago and tried to connect it with my pc, I"m new to android so I got no idea what I'm doing, when I start up the official huawei ideos x5 pc suite to sync some music it can't recognize the device. it says make sure usb debugging is on and that the windows drivers are properly installed, can anyone help?

Where did you get the PC Suite from? Did it come with the phone? Mine didn't come with anything like that.

I just connect my phone via USB, push the button that comes up on the phone to start the USB connection (you may have to drag down the notification bar to see it), then go to My Computer, find the phone's drive there and paste music to the Music folder on my SD Card (or you could use the onboard 2GB memory). Not as fancy as syncing though.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I am curious about the PC Suite and what it comes with?

You may encounter this problem when using a USB 3 port. Also try using a different USB cable or repositioning the cable.

I got the same problem. I use usb debugging, still it says make sure usb debugging is on and that the windows drivers are properly installed. Got Win7 Sp1

I found it out. Yay. To you who still cant connect to the hi suite: The driver hasn't been installed. You need to manually install it.

When I connect my Huawei with PC via USB, a window pops up, in my case it's drive I:. It's called Mobile partner and you can see several folders and files here. Go to I:\drivers\adb_driver

May I ask how to manually install the drivers? (dumb bunny here) I'm using Win 7 32bit

Many thanks,
Dal

-Manually installing a driver software is easy, you will need to manually install a driver for various reasons, the main one is driver updates.

-Go to start>control panel and click systems. Go to the hardware tab and click device manager. Look for the device you want to update the driver for and double click it. Go to the driver tab and click on update driver.

-A screen will pop up like in the automatic install. Select "install for a list or specific location" this time and click next. Uncheck "search removable media" and check "include this location in search". Click the browse button and go to the directory where you saved your new driver. (if its on CD just search removable media and it will find it).

-Click next and it will attempt to install the driver. Once done click next and your new driver is install. A reboot might be required for the device to work properly.
