Root if anyones out there I need some quick help.

Trying to use unrevoked forever on my bros phone and only have it for a few minutes.
All the software seems compatible.

I'm getting the error message

E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip

Not sure how to proceed.

I already did the normal unrevoked before this but it didn't turn off s.

1) By compatible, you mean it has hboot .97? If it has 2.02 or up, it's not compatible.
2) How far did it get? Are there any more error messages, or just that? There's been an issue with unrevoked lately where it almost finishes, but can't run unrevoked forever. If you got as far as partial root (rooted rom and clockwork recovery, but no s-off), download unrevoked forever from the unrevoked site, and flash it separately.

I did all that. I was having the problem with UR forever. Hboot 97.

Anyway I figured it out. If anyone is having the same problem I just chose the 5th option in clockwork recovery as opposed to the 2nd... something like choose file from sd card.

That did the trick.

Nothing to be sorry about. I appreciate the help. I probably wasn't very clear since I typed that up in a hurry.

Wish I'd titled the thread better so that people with similar problems would find it easier.
