If Droid X CAN have these things, I will buy it

You read the name of this thread right? I said if the Droid X has those two features in the market or whatever, I will be sold on the Droid X... It's not that big of deal. I just wanted to see if it had it. It's not like I'm just going to get the Droid Incredible because of those two things! LOL
As someone who had both, I can say that you will be disappointed by #2.

1. Wallpaper is just that, you should be able to find something real close. Shouldn't be a deal breaker.

2. Stock DX weather sucks. As some mentioned, Beautiful Widgets and some others get very close to the HTC Sense look. One thing that is missing is home screen animations, like when you unlock the phone and a lightning bolt streaks down your screen with rain drops.

Admittedly overly gimicky, but pure eye candy to look at. You will not find that in any marketplace add on. Beautiful Widgets gets close, but it's only an animation in the widget, not the whole screen. To do that, you have to have a Android build that integrates that functionality into the OS, or in other words, HTC Sense. So you'll never get market downloads to mimick the DInc.

As much as the DInc felt more polished, and definately looked prettier, the points you mentioned are all eye candy. More important (in my mind) is the functionality. A phone that doesn't get good reception, drops calls and is unreliable is dealbreaker #1 for me, no matter how pretty (hear that Apple, oh of course you don't). My DInc dropped some calls, sound quality was poor and while the Sense widgets looked pretty, they didn't do all that much. Once you go to a larger screen, you'll never want to go back. Typing is that much better. Deal breaker #2 is a battery that barely lasts. Applications that don't lag are also a plus on the DX.

I'm not trying to say the DInc is not a good phone. It was the best on Verizon until the DX came out. But functionality wise, some of the core features that make or break a phone are done better with the DroidX. Period. It is undisputed that it has better battery life, better reception and phone quality, and a bigger screen.
The only edge the DInc has is in items that for the most part are subjective. Size, display (AMOLED looks pretty, but has horrendous color accuracy, washes out in direct sunlight, and pentile matrix sucks for fonts.), etc. Some like Sense (I do) and some don't. But I'm not sure there's anything the DInc does measurably better than the DX.

So let me put it in crude terms, would you like a slim sexy supermodel that doesn't give you treats, or a woman who has a few extra pounds, not as gorgeous, but does all the housework and the good stuff behind the doors.
