If I do hard reset will it delete everything from my sd card. Also will it return the softwear version to before current software update

no, it will not delete anything from the SD card and it will not remove any OTA updates or ROMs.

Thank you I'm going to go ahead and do hard reset then. My phone has been freezing and reseting here and there so no reason not to try it. Now I just need to figure out how to do it lol
you will lose your installed apps and such,but your paid apps should be listed in the market.
from home screen, menu/settings/SD&phone storage--at the bottom you see "factory data reset"....

What about getting the phone up and running again, I mean being able to make and receive phone calls, do I have to call sprint or will I be able to do it myself
