Help If I root my GN?

Will it still take updates once rooted? I presently have 4.12!

Will I be able to freeze the telephone app? I have a data only plan, but it has a phone number assigned to it. Solicitors keep calling. If I answer the carrier will charge me by the min. Voicemail is turned off via USSD commands.

I have uninstalled lots of nonsense apps on my rooted Goophone. I have done it no harm! I bought it to excremental on.

I finally did root it and experimented on it. I soft bricked it.

You could say that by experimenting on it, you ended up excrementing on it.

Seriously though, that is why I still havent been able to bring myself to ever root a phone, I am always too nervous about bricking it. I cant even follow a recipe for soup, it doesnt bode well for the far more delicate business of rooting a phone.
