Help If only it could make a call...

Seriously, great phone HTC. Well done. Kudos. Congratulations!

Oh, but the signal sucks. Badly. Like the other HTC I had, but it may be a network issue (I've been on Vodafone forums). I frequently drop calls right in the middle. When I first got the phone it just ended it but now it restarts the phone altogether! Ace.

So my phone restarts mid-call, I have no warning and it happens loads. Like, every day. I've tried the wifi settings, tried network settings, tried loads of variables. Has there been any sort of fix for this, I know I'm not the only one, I know it's not JUST the One S and I know it's not just HTC. Android issue?

Well, unless I am in a bad signal area, mine handles calls very well. I would venture to guess that it is a low signal area for your network that is the issue. Can you try another phone (on the same network) and see if it gets any better cell reception?

why does my phone restart itself then? and it happens in full signal

I don't know, never experienced that issue. Have you modified the phone at all (i.e. Rooting/kernels/etc)? It's also quite possible that you got a faulty device. As far as I know that isn't a common problem with the device, so it's either been modified in a way that makes it unstable, is just faulty hardware, or there is a weird issue with the network.
