If you can't get your Evo to update to 2.2 .....

After trying to update manually hitting both HTC update and the other option it was saying nothing available. I removed my battery (or you could hard reset) and started my phone back up. I went to HTC update under settings and it worked. Updating as we speak (I'm on my touch) Hopes this helps someone.

Easier way for me to see the update was to 1) update PRL, 2) update Profile...Right after I did that and searched for HTC Software updates, it popped up right away.

I just searched and it came up just fine, Now to do some research before pulling the update trigger...

I saw someone post in the Engadget comments, he manually changed his date on the Evo to August 3rd, and it worked lol. So try that if you can't update yet. Reminds me of the old windows bypassing for trial-ware programs.
