If you had to change

yea sense has alot of problems with it maybe its the way it deals with 1.5 and on 2.X it will run smoother all we can do is hope oh wait there is another option root but as of right now im not quite ready to root but these ideas are pretty cool i wonder if someone could make a skin and just add all these features in well besideds the hardware upgrades ofcorse ehh..oh well i think it would be cool if you could remove the trackball and the LED lights replace them withe multicolor lights and download software to make them operational ahh dreams from a eris user...i hear a book title haha jk

I want push email! I hate that with polling email I have to chose between getting my email in something close to real time (5 minutes) and my battery life. I set mail to poll at 30 minute intervals to help me make it through the day on one charge. Push email = best thing about Blackberry.

Also, I want to be able to control the font size on the phone. I almost fell over dead when I figured out that there is no way to control the font size of the phone's menus and most native apps. Every dumb phone I've had and some smart phones - BB and HTC TP2 let me set the font size large enough to read without my reading glasses. Spare parts has a menu option for font size but it doesn't work once you exit spare parts.

Faster screen rotation would be great, too.

I was thinking early this morning while I was making waffles and listening to music on my Eris i wondered whats one thing that makes the Eris so awesome (bedsides the price tag). I pondered this for awhile and i realized that its the simplicity of the Sense UI or at least is does for me. I know some people like to rid themselves of it or use ahome or some sort of home switcher, but if you could tell HTC something to change for a update to sense what would it be would you change something little or a complete overhaul.

Personally i would like to see it run smoother and the bottom bar where it says phone be customizable and for built in skins that are dramatically different from one another. just a thought what do you think? :D

I would really like the ability to customize my entire phone's UI.

Installing X11 on it with LXDE sounds pretty excellent to me.

Run X Windows X11 on your Android smartphone:

And if I could change only 1 simple thing (besides getting root access) it would be the ability to change the default image for incoming calls.

Great thread, Thanks!
