It's fair to say i've been around the houses with this phone of mine. I've tried nearly all the roms (even some sense ones
)
I've become hooked on flashing roms you could say.
In the days before Gingerbread the phone worked ok (ish) the wifi always connected and stayed that way until i chose to switch it off. Then came the upgrade (GB) and the wifi connectivity problems
Last night I was a little bored so after reading up on XDA and currently using absolution rom i thought i'd give their ICS Ascension rom a run out.
After a few problems getting the vids to play on my yardstick for roms the bbc news website (wrong version of adobe or something!
) I got things working wonderfully...touch wood.
One of the main benefits of ICS in my experience is that after my wifi was connected it was still connected after 8 minutes. Strange I thought as by that time on GB I would have had to go into settings or the options etc and do the old switch off, then switch on again trick (good lord the number of times i've had to do that!!!)
Anyway the long and short of it is this...an hour later my wifi is still connected! Happy days
Will try it out again later on but so far so good!
