I'll pay $50 to everyone if we don't have Froyo (Android 2.2) by the fourth quarter.

I got really sick of all those threads about when was 2.1 going to be released, this Sprint employee said this, that Sprint employee said that.

So I am going to preempt all that for the Froyo release (Android 2.2) and absolutely guarantee that it will be released before the end of the Fourth Quarter.

If I am wrong, I will pay each of you $50, guaranteed, take it to the bank. So this should preempt all the "when are we gonna get 2.2 threads."

There is no way I am wrong.

You didn't say the fourth quarter of which year? ;)

My money is on them having fixed the Moment so that it will update OTA. So if that is the case we will see it sometime this summer. I know the update they did to fix the airplane mode and other things fixed that, but not everyone went in to get it. I still have not recieved an e mail or anything from Sprint telling me about 2.1. What a bunch of dumb asses.

There's never been a update addressing "airplane mode" that I'm aware of.

Yeah well he never said it was going to be released by samsung or sprint. Or which year. But he I am in just to keep the thread going.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we never get another update on the moment version 1. It's their way of making sure we update our phones every couple of years and sign another contract. Who wants to bet that the moment's hardware won't support it?
