1) I wasn't aware that the site was down... How long have you been gone?
2) Gingerbreak what is needed to root the Ascend after 2.2 update. Whether you root your phone is up to you.
3) New is the opposite of old.

To root your phone from 2.2.1 you need version 1.2 of gingerbreak from 4shared.
Whats new?
-Not much, only new Roms and 3G service can now be accessed

What's wrong with 4shared? Something I should be aware of? I only ask, because that's where I found another version of the file I'm looking for, and I'm downloading it right now...

Ive come across alot of virus infected things on there. I actually got one from there that effected my facebook. It added an add on to my browser and caused literally like 50 ads to all kinds of stuff pop on my news feed (not posted but all over my news feed) all over anybody's page I went to and on every page.
PS just for clarification It was a free music converting software to change MP3's in wav's mp4's oog's ect and was free to begin with I just needed an older version that I had to go to 4shared for.

A long time... the domain said it was for sale when i tried to accesss it.
