Help Im Client for mobile internet?

Hi, I have a pretty much factory-set Spica, no special mods or anything. I'm quite happy with it, but the only thing I can't find is an IM Client, such as eBuddy, Palringo, or anything that will connect and work when I'm connected to mobile internet (3G, Egde) however they do work when I'm at home with wi-fi.

My plan has unlimited internet so that can't be the problem, I have downloaded lots and lots of different clients, and none work on mobile internet.

Is there an application I need, or is there a setting I need to change?

hmmm. odd. I had no probs when my spica was factory fresh, and still don't. Can you check that the APN is set for your carrier. it should be already, but may not be for some reason.

does your phone connect to the internet via a browser with 2/3g? If so, the APN isn't the issue....

Have you tried Fring?
