Root I'm going crazy please help!

This is my first post, so I do apologise if this is in the wrong section.
I am grateful for ANY help you can provide.

I have a wildfire s running 2.3.5.

I tried to root my phone. All went well via this guide -http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-all-things-root/480954-guide-how-root-wildfire-s-s-finally.html

But then after the phone turned off it went into a boot loop. So I re-flashed and it still boot loops.

I wiped the SD card and have tried various ROMS but all fail to load. (aborted)

Interestingly when I start fastboot and it does it's checks it says-
SD checking -No image!

At the top it does say -

***unlocked***
Marvel pvt ship s-on RL
Hboot-1.09.0099
microp-0451
Radio-7.57.39.10m

When I go to recovery (No I am stupid and never made a back up before I messed about with this) it is ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.8

I have been on this for DAYS and it's driving me absolutely mad!

Please help if you can, I am learning about these things so I would really appreciate it if you kept this simple.

PPS: My HTC sync doesn't even detect the phone when plugged in. Sigh...

Hi and Welcome to AF!

Don't worry, if your HBOOT works and recovery works, there should be a way of fixing it.

This should help you a lot. Same problem. The guy got stuck in bootloop and found a solution.

Just follow the above link, as Caro referred helped me a lot to recover my device.
Try the flashy.exe tool to flash boot.img, system.img and recovery.img.
Be sure to have installed .net framework, sdk, HTC sync on your PC.
