Root I'm having Market issues..

I am having to uninstall/reinstall Titanium because it wasn't recognizing that I had purchased the pro version. I uninstalled it just fine, but now I can't reinstall. What happens is, I click to download it from the market and it downloads all of the way, but it never installs. If you watch it from the app's page on the market, it shows that it starts downloading, then goes right back to giving you the button that says "free" as if you have don't have the app and the progress bar goes away.

I tried it with 2 other random apps and had the same problem. Is this a market issue or an issue with my phone/ROM?

I am on MikFroyo 4.5 right now with the stock kernel, so disregard my sig.
 
If that doesn't fix the issue, then you need to move all apps that you have on your sdcard (if any) back to internal storage (foryo apps2sd, only, of course), then mount your phone as a disk drive via usb, delete .android_secure (it's on the root of the sdcard), then try again. .android_secure will be recreated automatically in the process. If that works, you can move any apps you need back to the sdcard.
 
Well...I tried to do my due diligence, I tried for a couple of hours, I did some reboots, and even gave it some extra time to see if it was a basic little glitch. Nothing. Then, out of the blue, before I could check the suggestions in this thread, it started working again. I will keep these tips in mind if I have the issue again, however.

That's what I get for trying not to panic, over-react, then run to the forum for help on an issue that will work itself out.

That's definitely weird. I would say, though, that when issues like this happen, then go away, it *usually* means one of two things - 1) It was google's problem, but that's not likely, since I didn't see anybody else complain, and you were still able to download, or 2) the problem will likely come back. In any case, I'm glad it's working now, but you might need to revisit this soon :).
 
I had an issue earlier today where my market would not show that I had downloaded anything when I have 25+ or so apps installed from the market. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked, finally I just restored a backup I had it was a couple of days old but its better than having a market that wouldn't let you update anything without manually checking for updates by searching every app I have installed.
 
I have had issues since yesterday also, but not had time to look into it or try anything. I will work on it later today or tonight unless work is slow.
 
Deleting Android_secure didnt help. Market restarts after I select ok for download but does not download, hangs at starting download. Going to try and reflash gapps and see if that takes care of it.
 
Yeah, if it's hanging before it downloads, that's not an android_secure problem. Did you ever try just wiping market cache/data?

That was the first thing I tried last night. Thought maybe it was my location but still not downloading/updating today. I flashed the Savage-zen 0.1.0 the other day and havent tried the market since. I have gone back to Savage1.6 as I was having issues with the phone waking up and though maybe the other kernel was the issue.


Reflashing Gapps didn't fix it.

Caulkins Format, Flash Evervolv Rom and Gapps.....now works. Going to try and restore nandroid, uninstall the market and reinstall it and see what happens.

Tried restoring a backup from before I flashed the Savage-zen kernel. Market works fine. Suspect Savage-Zen kernel was the problem though I am not sure why flashing back to the other kernel would have left it broken if that was the case.
 
Well, if you have a bad flash, flashing back to something else doesn't always fix whatever broke. I'd say this was definitely due to something like that, though.
