Help I'm looking for a widget similar to "power control"

I'm looking for a widget similar to power control but that is free. My brother has one that came with his droid x and I'm envious. It allows you to turn gps 3g and wifi on and off from the widget on your home screen. thanks!

I am probably misunderstanding the question, but power control is free and lets you do those things.

I use Dazzle Configurable Switcher. It's pretty awesome and free. much better than the stock power control widget.

+1 on Dazzle. And you can change to size of the widgets. I have 2 2x1 widgets that each hold 2 functions.

Dazzle is nice but doesnt allow one-touch GPS on/off

Not free, but switch pro widget. Think it was $0.99.

However, double check on it's ability to switch the mobile network on and off. I remember it might have had an issue doing so... I like it cause it allows a screen always on with one click.

BTW, the HTC Settings Widget has individual widgets to toggle 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Airplane, and 3G Mobile Hotspot.

Switchpro has no issue turning 3G on and off it's one toggle and works well.

Yeah, the power control widget is free and is dead-on with what you want it to do, so why do you want another widget? I'm confused on what you're trying to accomplish here.

Sync is just that. You are enabling background data by toggling sync.

I use a separate widget to turn 3g (network data) on and off but still keep sync on so that it will sync over wifi... so, no, they are not exactly the same thing.

What you're referring to is just enabling the data connection (the "Always keep mobile data" or whatever it was), which would be just a different 3g toggle. So depending on which you're referring to, you'll get different answers.

I have tried that and it doesn't turn on 3G. As far as I can tell it just syncs the Google accounts if 3G is active.
