Well, I'm pretty sure the RUU would work perfectly, except i get the error 170 on one of my computers and the other one just flat out refuses to even launch the freaking exe...
I pulled the rom.zip from it and updated to 2.2 that way. didn't have any issues once I got to that point.
Side note: I did throw unrevoked3 and unrevoked forever onto it before doing this....so I am all rooted now as well. Since I had to go back to the stock recovery before installing anything, I'm pretty sure just doing the RUU will take care of it.
I also tried just using the update.zip from the OTA of the 2.2 and that gave me a screen with a phone and a red exclamation point...so that route appears to be a no-go for users on this software/baseband version.
