Root I'm rooted!

Don't be afraid, it was quite easy to do! I'm downloading Tibu now - hopefully I don't muck it up from here! Thanks all for your help!

Thanks! I'm excited! I do have another question...should it take 30 minutes to download Titanium Pro? I'd say it would depend on my phone/signal...right?

[AndroidJane]

Ok so Titanium Pro all set, bloatware frozen - so excited! This phone works sooo much faster! Bootloader is next!

[AndroidJane]

WOOHOO! Changed bootloader audio!!! DROID!

[BlastGT1]

You were correct, everything depends on your signal strength. I notice a big speed difference between having 2 bars or having 3 bars. However, I try to do all the downloading over WiFi instead, as it is so much faster.

Droid boot sound? Awesome, I keep meaning to get to doing that myself!

Yes! I was dying to get rid of that Hello hello hello thing..... I'm trying now to change my boot animation using Boot Animations Installer but no go...says I need Nand Unlock? Can you or anyone suggest another good app to do this?

Bootanimation.zip File Explained - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

That article tells you the two possible directories where you can put your bootanimation.zip file. You can use a file browser such as Root Explorer to manually copy your file to the proper directory, and bypass the app you're using completely.

Thanks! I messed around with it and got it to work!! Looks so cool now - this is so much friggin' fun!
