Im sold, Rooting time

Okay i have been doing some digging lately and at first i was a little scepticle about rooting my droid because 2.1 was supposedly right around the corner. Im tired of waiting and i want to try out the extended GHz

Can someone please point me in the correct direction
As in the best ROM and the how to's

I know there are threads on this but i have a feeling most of those ROMs are outdated.

I'm using the Beast version of this ROM, and that's what you might be looking for.

I don't even have SetCPU installed and my battery seems to be lasting just as long as stock.
