I'm surprised no one has mentioned this minor PIA

Now admittedly, this is near nitpicking but still, with all the rest of the packaging and the phone itself done so nicely I was going, WTF!, O? with the blue nuclear attached cello-crap over the camera and flash. I can't imagine how the heck they got it on, it had to be when they Made the phone as the stuff went Under one of the little micro-panels. <Bogglement> You'd Assume the film would be directly applied on top like on the screen and peel right off. This took some pretty concentrated fingernail action to remove.

Maybe I'm just too clutzated but I've never had All That to go thru to get to the camera.

The Blue stuff is Weird! I was looking at it and it almost looked like it was Supposed to be there is was So Exactly applied. And I'm thinking but it's Freekin' BLUE, that won't work worth a dang with the camera. Honestly after Digging 1/2 of it off the camera, I STILL wasn't totally sure.

And, when I saw the piece come from out under a panel like it was Built In
I was really shocked.

Got me.

Didn't have anything over my camera. just peices of plastic on the top and bottom chrome but it was clear plastic.

Mine came with the blue protection plastic also.

I actually liked it... It made the camera bezel look blue.
I cut the piece off the flash and left the rest on for a few days so that my bezel would look blue. Have removed it since.

It almost looked blue anodized. I said it was applied so perfectly I wasn't sure it wasn't sposed to be there.

On mine after fingernailing it off it still left traces of scunge. I had to get the Isopropyl and micro-fiber to get it off.

No blue stuff here, on either speaker, camera, phone bezel, etc. I am a little perturbed the pull tab for the factory screen protector has a little perforation on it. On the Motion I trimmed the excess tab with a surgeon's scalpel right along the bezel for a perfectly clean cut. I tried it w/ the Spirit, and there's the annoying bubble under the perforation. Having bought two of the Spirit's I tried to trim the second one along the perforated line with a small pair of sewing scissors hoping that would clear out the bubble, but no dice; just a slightly off cut edge which won't heal to the surface of the glass :o thus there's still somewhat of a bubble.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the fact this phone doesn't have automatic brightness control. It doesn't even have an ambient light sensor!

TBH, I really haven't needed it, but it seems like an unusual omission for a phone that's fairly premium.

I'm thinking LG wanted to put out a premium performing phone at a very affordable price, so they left out some things they thought users can do without for the price.

I'm glad LG did that... They were able to put out a phone with the same cpu/gpu combo as the S3 for a very low price.

Did they really?? I thought that was just a stupid locked out setting... the ear "sensor" isn't a photo cell?

Can't say I'm missing it either... have it at 54% and forgot about the auto setting, lol.

:D

There is a sensor on the top left corner, very hard to spot, I'm not sure if its THE sensor...

I'm pretty sure that's only the proximity sensor. I can't remember where I saw it, but I think it was Quadrant that stated it didn't have a built-in ALS.

Correct. Screen goes off during a call when I put the phone on my face. No bells or whistles on this thing.
