I'm thinking about going back to metro pcs

I'm currently with T mobile $60 2GB 4g plan. And I want to go back to metro PCS and go with their $60 plan for 5GB. I like the speed from t mobile but I hear metro PCs 4g lte speed is, decent like 4GB or, more.

I also live where it's 4g coverage and I like the lg connect 4g. I currently have the Samsung galaxy s blaze and I was wondering if going back to metro for the lg connect 4g is worth it for the good speeds.

I rather pay $60 for 5GB than pay a extra $10 for 5GB.

I get around 4mbps going both ways here in detroit. For $70 you can get unthrottled 4G on metro.

Where do you live?

Yeah you should be good with YouTube. And you will be able to watch it to your heart's content.

Yup. I watch a whole lot of YouTube too. Up until about a month ago i would tell yku no because even tho metros 4g speed is fast enough to stream videos the problem was that it was always dropping. But it's way more stable these days so yeah go for it.

Well, here around Atlanta-GA I never got more than 1,5Mb/s...:(

Shit, all of you are lucky. My whole house is a dead zone... Of course I'm sure that's my fault for running a 360, ps3, two laptops, a server, two desktops, 6 monitors, 2 sets of wireless speakers (using lasers, and solar cells) two wireless printers two routers, two phones, and two tablets with three other phones working on being used as a linux cluster for something I'm working on...Anyone that knows what Beowulf, or cluster means...think mobile version...HELL YEAH!
Anyways, there's not an inch of my house that gets more than 15kbs on LTE :P (and yes, I'm sure it's not the phone - it works fine outside the house)

Ok sweet!!! I'll definitely think about it. I was using McDonalds wifi and ran a, speed test and I got 1mb and it steamed YouTube well on high quality. My only concern is where I stay is almost a, dead zone. I live in 4g coverage in Taylor but in a section 8 apartment my Samsung admire had 0 to 2 bars. And with my Samsung galaxy s blaze I usually get 2+ bars

Wow that's not cool. On my Samsung galaxy s blaze I get up to 10mb. But, maybe all of that speed isn't really necessary lol. I hope I don't have that problem on my lg connect or esteem. It depends which one I may buy if I switch back. =)

Tmobile is overall a faster and more reliable service as far as 4G. I personally could not deal with the 5gb limit though.

I have hadthe 4g since the galaxy indulge and now have the connect. I use Netflix alot and rarely drop signal in most of Wayne county. It always runs at max quality with no buffer time. Pandora while driving my mixer practically everywhere. I'm still locked in at 50$ a month for unlimited. Using Netflix doesn't count against your data anyways. Plus I also see some apps to turn off the throttling anyways. I believe you will be happy with your switch.

I'm definitely looking forward to that actually lol but apps, that stops throttling and Netflix don't using data plan how does that work?

Yeah me either. I rather go unlimited lol but can you play temple run on the lg connect?
the 1.2 dual core processor should be able to field most of your games. the only thing that will be an issue is overheating and battery drain.

Oh ok that a, huge relief lol also do you think the lg esteem is worth it? I mean I like the connect because it's fast but how do deal with the battery, life?

i'd go with the connect simply because its much cheaper right now and is better from a specs standpoint save the .3 inch loss in screen size and no hdmi out.

if you're gonna be doing a lot of gaming, getting a extended battery is pretty much mandatory. the stock battery wont hold up.

Ok thanks man. I'll switch back to metro PCs when my t mobile bill is almost due:)

Oh my other concern is that I live in a, dead zone in the section 8 apartments so I used to get 2 to 0 Barr on my admire. How would that affect me if I had the lg connect?

i dont think having the connect would improve that. i used to have a samsung freeform and my phone reception would get choppy if i went down in my basement. hasnt changed since i got the connect. usually have to go upstairs to make phone calls. its an absolute dead zone for my 4g too.

if thats the case for you at home you should probably stick with what you have.

How long ago did you have service with metro? If it was over a year ago, the network has improved a lot since then. And also don't forget Metro Promise, as long as you are under 7 days of purchase AND 60 minutes of talk time, you get a full refund. So try it out and if it doesn't work for you, return it.

Edit: If you had the Admire, chances are your signal won't improve. You probably had service with metro recently. Still if you want to try it out, you do have the option to return it, if the place you buy it from doesn't give you a hard time!

Well I'll, take that back, it's not a, complete, dead zone I had service on my admire like at 2 bars at max. Sometimes on my galaxy blaze I would get edge speed and on my admire I would only get 1x.

But I been with t mobile for two weeks and I came to my senses that 20m b isn't really all that worth it. So I may just switch to metro and get the lg connect.

Something I should've done in the first place.
