Help I'm tired of "Installation unsuccessful". Any help?

I can't install or update many apps. In the case of new apps they won't end up on my phone and current apps that give me the problem while updating don't always function properly afterwards. I've un-mounted and re-mounted my card several times, cleared cache and data for the market and uninstalled market updates. Nothing has fixed this problem.

It usually comes up "Unknown reason -18".

I gotcha covered... Go to settings:sd card and storage:unmount sd card

Then go back and re download, when you are done go back into setting and re mount the sd card...should work...I dont know why...but it does

I had this problem until I realized that the failing updates were all apps that I had moved to the SD card. Once I moved them back to the phone, they updated just fine. I have no idea why this would occur for new installs for you though.
