Root I'm torn between 3 roms

The first custom rom I flashed once I rooted my Inc2 was cm7. It's fast and has a lot of useful features and options (like volume rocker music control), but the low speaker volume and earpiece volume levels bothers me. I also don't like the looks as much as Sense roms, and I'm not good at customization.

Then I tried Gingerbang's Vanilla rom. Good mix of sense and asop, and is still fast, not as fast as cm7 for me. The volume levels were really good with this rom. But this rom does not have as many features as cm7. I like sense roms for the dialer. I know there's the app Dialer One, but it just doesn't look as good.

After that I went on to try Mikrom's Incredible HD, the rom from the new HTC Runnymede with Sense 3.5. It has very nice sense widgets and animations. It is the best looking custom rom I've ever used. But that comes at a cost, it's not as snappy or fast as either of the previous two roms. The volume level is somewhere between cm7 and the Gingerbang Vanilla roms.

I'm trying find a good balance of eye candy and raw speed. I wish I was better at customization.

All three are really good roms, just with different advantages. I guess I have to keep on trying more. I'll try the OMFGB rom next.
 
i would check out Virtuous ROM I'm currently running Virtuous 2.39 and I LOVE it. it's fast, functional, easy to customize and looks amazing. Moreover, most of the known issues (I don't currently have any) have ready solutions. Hope this helps

Sense2.1-Skyraider by Team BAMF
Sense3.0-Virtuous Unity
Sense3.5-Runnymede by MikRoms
AOSP-MIUI

all of them can be found on the rom thread at the top of this forum
 
I'm trying out the OMFGB AOSP rom now. Liking it so far. The speaker and earpiece volume are good (maybe because I'm using the Tiamat 1.14 kernel). It's as fast if not faster than CM7. The only issues I've noticed so far are wired headset mic does not work, and the 3G data up/down arrows don't animate. Minor issues I can live with. So far so good.

My next rom to try is Virtuous Unity.

Ah, I love having so many choices. Rooted Android phones ftw!

I just tried Liquid Rom over the weekend, but I ended up switching back to my previous rom, OMFGB. The main reason was the Hulu Plus app didn't work with it. I liked all the customization options, especially the many choices of fonts. It's a good rom, it's as fast as OMFGB. I know there's a fix to get Hulu Plus working, but it was too complicated for me, so I switched back to OMFGB.

So you xoxoxo'ed TAR but not Andy. You are not homo. So TAR is a girl. OTD would enjoy this thread.

Please leave OTD out of this. I am already tired of hearing about her. Again.
I mean no disrespect. I just get tired of her "fan club".
Wasn't this thread supposed to be about something to do with Android phones?
