Blame it on me
It would be nice to allow users to upload bigger PNG files. I'm talking about width, height and also filesize.

Having the same limits as jpg files would be appreciated. Also, .jpeg and .jpg are the same thing, so why not bump jpeg up to the jpg limits? ;) (right now, JPG files have a maximum filesize of 1.43MB, no max width and no max height).

Hopefully the "auto re-size" plug-in also works with those formats. Thanks! :)

It seems to be working with the new limits. Thanks!

Any reason why 750x750 as the limit? I know filesize matters, but why would height and width?

Well, I came across this issue when posting a wallpaper so I'm guessing it does happen (albeit rarely). Since there are no maximum width and height limits for .jpg pictures, I fail to see why there should be limits for .png pictures. They can't get bigger than 1.43 MB anyway, isn't that all you should care about?

It's much better than before though. ;)

That often results in the image being broken (if it's been deleted, moved or if it used too much bandwidth). We usually don't want that. ;)

Agreed :D I see many of such from the macroumers :D
But those guys use PhotoBucket ( or tinypic )! which has bandwidth limit !!
Some dudes use Dropbox -- lol

How long will my uploaded files be available?

Your files will only be deleted if they do not adhere to our Terms of Service. If you are registered, your files will be available forever. If you are not registered, any file that you upload will continue to be available if it is accessed by anyone at least onc per year.

How much bandwidth can I use?

mageShack allows unlimited bandwidth for images, videos, and slideshows when viewed from our landing page, as well as unlimited bandwidth for registered users. ImageShack may at any time enforce its policies on bandwidth if an image is in violation of our Terms of Srvice, for instance, if it is abusive or used to spam.
