Help Image resolution on 3.8 MP

I've looked and looked and cannot find settings for the camera. Is the stock camera app limited to 3.8 MP or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

it is suppose to max out at 5mp

in the settings if you selection Large in picture resolution, it should be default at 5mp, where are you seeing 3.8?

Camera menu options: Scenes, Effects, Flash, Front, and Switch to camcorder. Nothing about settings...

I am seeing the 3.8 MP thing when I look at the information for individual pictures I have taken. When you are viewing an image full screen, there is a little circle with an i in it at the bottom right, it contains the file name, resolution, and other various things.

Here, let me rephrase: with the camera open, hit the 'MENU' button, then select 'settings'.

Your phone has 4 buttons on the bottom, these are, from left to right, MENU HOME BACK SEARCH.
