Help IMEI changes after reset

Hello,
So I bought a Galaxy S7 used. It's for T-Mobile. First thing I noticed was the clock is 6 hrs ahead like this might be an international phone. I went to several IMEI checker sites and they all said the IMEI is invalid. I did a factory reset and realized the IMEI is different. And checking it online also says invalid. Am I missing something here? What do I need to do to get this device running right? Thanks

I've moved this to our dedicated Galaxy S7 sub-forum as other users of the device are probably best-placed to advise you.

Post back what is displayed in Settings/About... for Model Number, Build Number and Baseband Version, as this will give clues as to the phone's origins.

Alarm bells would be ringing for me if the Imei is looking not right.

First thing I'd do is use https://www.checkmend.com
