Help IMEI null and Service mode blank

That was the stock . I think you may need to get the correct firmware . was this a ml2

What happened when you do this

1. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset
2. Next select the Wipe Cache Partition
3. Lastly select Reboot System Now to reboot your Galaxy S4 in Normal mode.
Confirm your fresh*firmware*installed*by typing *#1234# or
Go to Settings>About Phone>Firmware*info.
Check and reconfigure your APN settings when data networks connection issues encountered.

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Active SGH-I537. Trying to unlock it, I messed up the IMEI and am now getting the IMEI Null error message. I cannot get to the Service Mode, because it is blank. Is there a workaround?

Hello! I am having the same issue! My galaxy s4 I537 is reading IMEI null and no service. I've read this thread from the top with the same issues and I am trying to follow but I am by no mean computer savy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not computer illiterate but I definitely need help so please help me! Another question I have is I am able to Wi Fi on my galaxy I just can't get it to accept my sim card. The phone is an AT&T galaxy and the sim I am trying to put in is not but it doesn't seem to matter. Any sim I put in reads the same, null, even the AT&T sim. I'm not sure if I'm rooted or any of that. All I know is I can still Wi Fi with the device. Being I'm able to Wi Fi is it possible for me to download any and all software needed to fix this issue directly to my galaxy versus having to use a PC? Again I tried reading from the others on this thread and I realize I am having the same issue with the same device I would just really appreciate if someone can walk me through the process? Please and thank you

Hello and welcome to the forums. I see your missing imei and null is shown . first off let's start with a factory data reset . if its still not shown if you see all the threads I need the firmware for your device .should be letters and numbers may end with something like this "ML3" SOwhat does your device say.

Feel free to try this patch

Or tell me if you want to downgrade

O no your not in the same boat you rooted incorrectly and or have a problem with your modem

Let's say that I did something I should never have tried! I wanted to enable the Slow Motion camera function on the S3, followed some steps and rooted incorrectly (my best assumption) and was able to recover to stock ROM thanks to another thread, but now I'm in this condition with the IMEI, so it's not recognizing the SIM. In addition, I have no sound and I just tried to play a video and it freezes :P ... bad move, haha, but thanks to good folks like you, there's hope :)

Thanks a ton! I'm downloading the firmware from Sammobile now. The only question I have now is - the phone was rooted to 4.2, and the firmware I'm downloading is for 4.1.1. I've been reading about people bricking their phones when they downgrade (4.2 --> 4.1.1) during rooting - any word of advice here?
