Help Imei

Hi all,

I recently bought a new in the box HTC Sensation it is from Bell and has never been opened. I have tried to unlock the phone as I am currently with Telus and would like to use the phone with them but I have tried two different companies to unlock it and they both have indicated that the IMEI # is not the correct one....I do not know what is going on and I am going nuts! please someone help me. can this phone be unlocked? did I get scammed with this phone? Can this be Fixed???????

According to what I heard the phone cannot be unlocked (although I dont understand what does unlocking the phone means)

try going into the phone dialler, press *#06# and check the imei number matches what is on the box
