Root Imoseyon kernel question

I used boot manager to install the newest version of the kernel for my CM7 rom, but when I go to run speedtweak.sh after running su, it says that speedtweak.sh cannot be found. The current path for my teminal emulator is /data/local/bin:$PATH, though I don't know if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what could be going on here? Boot manager said that the kernel was installed properly, so I'm hoping it wasn't lying to me :p. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

The speedtweak.sh script is part of the boot.img that comes with the kernel, IIRC when using boot manager if it is a rom that is on the SD card the kernel is unable to replace the boot.img that is stock on the rom so you would be unable to get the script to work unless you have CM installed on the phone memory instead of the SD.

In other words, you probably want to pick up IMO's kernel from another location. IE: Right Here!

No the scripts within the kernel zip that replace the boot.img when flashing a kernel are not done by boot manager if it is a rom on the SD card not on the internal memory. It is basically making the kernel an "Any kernel" format kernel when you flash it.

Yea, the problem I ran into was that the kernel just wasn't installing. Though according to the manual and the app, there's a way to install a kernel through the install kernel option.

I haven't played with the app, there may be a way to do it. Can you make and restore nandroids? If so you could try flashing it onto the phone memory and flashing the rom. Make a backup and restore on the SD

From what I understand, it's kind of like a nandroid backup, but different at the same time. I'm on the dev's forum seeing if there's another way to flash a kernel. I don't know if it's the rom I'm using, if it's the kernel, or if it's boot manager. That would be odd if the install kernel tool is messed up in boot manager.

I know IMO kernels work with cm I saw your posts on the dev forum. Try flashing the newest IMO kernel that's linked

I got a reply from another boot manager user. They're saying to use the regular install zip, so I'll give that a shot. Thanks all for your replies.
