Imperfections on the Back of my DNA

Newbie
So I've had my DNA for about two months now and have really enjoyed it so far. But with the rumors of the X Phone and the HTC One(maybe coming to Verizon) I am not 100% about keeping this phone through the Summer. So I have been trying to keep it as close to impeccable to have the chance to sell in the future. I have started to notice scratches and blemishes on the black cover on the back, has anyone found a good way to fix these? Im looking at getting a silicone case so Im not going caseless when I dont want to have the otterbox on it. But I still want to get it back to perfect condition, thanks in advance!

My phone is about 2 months old, and the back of the phone is a mess. I take very good care of my phones, and they generally still new look new after a year or so (when they get handed down to my wife so I can steal her upgrade ;)), but this phone is impossible to keep looking perfect.

I have mine in a silicone case and I take it off every few days to clean out the dust/pocket lint that seems to accumulate between the case and the phone. There are giant X's marked into the back of the phone from the case's reinforced back.

Let me guess, you got the case from a Verizon store?

Well don't make the mistake of not using a case at all, or you will have marks on the front of your phone like me. :p

I learned that lesson with my incredible haha. I have a zagg on it at least, need a nice thin case though

Yeah, I have a zagg as well, currently it is holding together the shards of glass at the bottom right of my screen :p

I dont have a case on mine. Didnt run one with my rezound either. The back of the phone isnt too bad though, minor blemishes here and there, but nothing that stands out. I havent dropped it or hit it against anything yet. I tend to get away with any major mishaps with my phones now. My old incredible looks like brand new also after all this time, and I take that to work to listen to music still.

To quote OP...The HTC One is not coming to Verizon. HTC and Verizon's contract pretty much stated that they would get no main line phones from HTC until Q3 of 2013, because they got the DNA.

When I bought the phone I was going to skip the case. I hadn't used a case in years and generally I hate them. Luckily, the sales person talked me into it because within the hour the phone fell out of my jacket pocket getting out of my car and hit the pavement. This probably happened twice more in the following week. Thanks to the case, my phone is unharmed.

When you take the case off you can wipe the x's off with a cloth. They are not permanent marks.
