Imperio - take control | Full Remote Access **Exclusive / AF forum members**

Considering that Teamviewer is free and works really well, why would I want to pay for Imperio? What does Imperio offer that TeamViewer doesn't offer? With TeamViewer I can control any of my PCs or Macs from my Android devices and I can control any of my PCs or Macs from any of my other PCs or Macs.

Teamviewer is an excellent software...we like this company too!

-machine turned off? No problems! Wake it up with your Imperio powered device!

-Imperio is designed for mobile at the core

-Our support, you'll not find better!

On to the question of price, price, price...on this point we must (try) to keep it real...imagine this; Imperio took around 1 1/2 years to make, we are charging just 3.99 on this forum, if we really think about that, it's amazing! One also needs to look much, much deeper to understand why TV is Free and we are not...

TV are venture capital owned and run, this means one thing ...their aim is to reach a critical mass (number of users) as quickly as possible, this in-turn gives potential buyers of TV value, then comes the exit...no one can tell you how this then changes the model...the new owners might then charge...who knows??

Imperio is 100℅ privately owned, couple this with the fact that we are absolutely obsessed with anything mobile (really) means that your small contribution is going back in to 'your' product to enhance it and improve it!

Now...remember you heard it here 1st...

Imperio 'Lite' is ready and FREE, if free is a key criteria then 'Lite' will give you a cut down version of Imperio, which matches TV more closely :-) it will have some ads, and will be available soon...we are just seeing which store wants to launch it! In our case the free version is all about feeding the Pro version giving us more 3.99's to develop new stuff even faster

Lastly, I hope that many here have already spotted that we truely do love the mobile world, just as much as many of you here do! We are far less 'corporate' and much more fun to get involved with...

It's a world where fortunately we have choice - and in this regard you will all make yours....we just hope its us! hooorah!

Yeah, sound excellent! Thanks :-)

And let me guess.... #8 'I just can't wait!'

Now darktwinke...don't try and get all clever like shltplease, it just doesn't suit you...trying to make up our lines for us...it's gone too far this time...

Anyone else who want's in...we can't stop you next 6 hours it's just 3.99

Hope you all enjoy it!

Okay...

After a day of rest for us, lets get on with our next 10! hoooray!

Just as a quick recap (for those new and not wanting to read all the previous nonsense that's been going on!)

Each time we get 10 x of you people responding with our phrase, this time it's 'DROID ROCKS' we go to the Android Market, mention you on the 'live page', and drop our price exclusively for the 10 from this very forum to 3.99 (RRP 15.99!)

Off we jolly well go then...! Who's claiming #1 ????

I know about Wake-on-LAN for over a decade but I've never tried it, and I can't find instructions on the Imperiomobile.com site to set it up. If I have a PC on a router connected to a DSL modem (dynamic IP address) in my home, can I simply enable WOL in my PC's BIOS, set up port-forwarding on my router, load an Imperio PC agent & Android app, enter the magic packet (MAC address) into my Imperio app, and wake up the PC from my Android device over Internet?

Is it really that easy?

It's supposed to be, but as with many things computer-related the reality may be different.

I can connect to my PC using Imperio, and can wake my PC using the WOL button in my router's config menu. I've yet to find the secret to waking the PC from Imperio though.

While I'm here.... anyone else repeatedly being asked to register by the desktop client? No matter how many times I enter my licence key I'm still asked again a few days later. It did it again last night in the middle of something, I dismissed the dialogue and now Imperio refuses to run.

I've gone as far as forwarding ports 7 & 9 (standard WOL ports, TCP/UDP) to my PC, and the required fwds for Imperio are configured as per instructions. With PC powered up I have no bother connecting, but WOL won't play despite having the wake-up option enabled on the Android client.

Hi Slug...going to open up a support ticket for you...;)

This sounds like exactly the program I have been wanting. I was even going to buy it for the full $9.98 in the app store, because I wanted to get it before I went into work tonight. But now when I went to buy it, it's back up to over $14. So YEAH! Sign me up as #2. Because I am incredibly anxious to get up and running with this program.
