Root Impressed with Icarus 1.1 but....

I am new so first of all hello all, and thanks for the help you've been in making my meager lil' ascend a proper beast of a phone.

I am on cricket and just installed Icarus 1.1 last night. It went pretty smooth. However, I think somehow there's some bug with how it interacts with some google apps. First of all, my phone quit sounding the notification tone when I get an email. I use my phone to email a lot so thats kinda a big problem for me. Secondly, and I know people have already complained about this, there are a lot of force closes in market, facebook, etc.

I have ran fix permissions through rom manager(full pro paid version) and through CWM. I have taken out the battery and put it back in. Still I keep getting these forced close. I went with GO Launcher because it has a force close stopper but it only helps a little. What can I do? Do I need to flash to stock and try again? Thanks in advance for the help

edit: Okay as of today I cannot even open the market. It starts to load then force closes.

The Icarus project is dead in the water. I only did a 1.1 because it was needed. The reason I abandoned Icarus is because it wasn't built from source. So, I can't *truly* fix anything.

CM6 (by pip2kk and me) and CM7 (me) are becoming fully functional. I would suggest trying CM6 or 7.
 
I did something wrong!!! Instead of waiting on a reply I went ahead and attempted to flash to stock using a download link that I found here on this forum. However I didn't follow the 'flash to stock' directions and instead just downloaded the zip, put the zip on my sd card, formated EVERYTHING and installed the zip from CWM. Now my phone is stuck on the HUAWEI screen. I don't know what to do because now I can't access my sd card through my computer. Is it a brick now?

Thats what I'm trying to say, I can't get to my sd car to put anything on it. I can't get the phone to start up, and I try to mount via CWM but nothing works. Its like my computer just won't read it.
 
Hmm...yeah, you'll need an alternative way to plug in your sd card to your computer. Seeing as it's a microSD card, you'd need a reader, so if you have one, you'll have to put the microSD card in the reader and the reader in the computer. It's not bricked, it can be restored, you just have to find a way to connect the sd to the computer that doesn't use the phone.
 
Yeah thats what I figured. I don't have a reader so I guess I have to get one or find a friend with a droid that I can use for a second or two. thanks for the help
