In car bluetooth without a dock

Hi,
Is there an app or way to configure the phone so that when it connects to my car bluetooth (a modern Sony stereo with audio streeming and voice call etc) the screen adjusts to make dialling out easier?

I simply connect with bluetooth, no charger or dock - I can connect via usb to the stereo header unit if I need to charge.

Voice dialling seems to bring search results up rather than instant call, for example if I say 'Call Mum Mobile', I will get a list asking if I want to search for this term or actually call it. An app so to make this just call would be good.

Any ideas anyone? I do have 'Car Dock' set to recognise my phone, but I'm guessing it is waiting to attach to a dock?

Thanks
Steve

Thanks. I installed this and it seems pretty good. As for the voice commands, seems I kept missing an 'at' out, so "Call mum home" doesn't work yet "Call mum at home" does. Seems strange saying things like "Call Dad at mobile", but this does work... Also, English is set as English UK!

Thanks
Steve

I have a Ford and would like to stream music from my phone to the Ford head via bluetooth - is this possible with this app?

I think you need to find out if the Ford bluetooth is a2dp capable. This app only provides easy short cuts to apps and a different home screen when connected to bluetooth.

To stream your music, simply pair the phone to your car stereo and start playing music on the phone. The car stereo will need to be set to use bluetooth for audio but you will need to refer to your specific car stereo for that.

Do you have Microsoft Sync? Many fords made in the last two years had that option. If you do then all you have to do is pair the phone with sync and hit play on a music app. You may have to select streaming bluetooth from the input menu, but my wife's focus switched automatically the first time.

i have an Si and i have been looking for the same thing. has anyone found an app that can route audio through Honda's handsfree link?

on my old WinMo phone there was a setting to choose what audio the send through the headset....

No, my car is 3 years old and I don't think it has this option :(

I have a Mondeo and Bluetooth streaming isnt available because I don't have the ipod interface only the Aux in, easy to check (Sony Unit) press the CD/Aux button 3 times and see if this selects Bluetooth (it cycles through CD -> Aux -> Bluetooth) If you have you can also select it via the Voice Commands

Hope this helps
