Root In Need Of Some Update Help!

I have my phone on B09 Stock ROM right now, with stock recovery, but it's rooted.
I got the OTA update alert and downloaded it and tried to install it. I got an error:
"Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Verifying current systen...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("EMMC: .....
... (Status 7)
Installation aborted.
E: Failed to open /cache/fota/error_code (No such file or directory)
E: Failed to open /cache/fota/source_code (No such file or directory)

Help a guy out?
 
basically, if neither method on my tool works, youre screwed, but terminal method should work granted you enabled usb debugging and have the proper drivers installed just as you would need to do in order to root
 
I got the update to work u got to use junkie tool to get stock recovery and u got to have my b09 stock from the stock b09 thread...y wait
 
Thats what ive been trying to explain. Jeez. And it works flawless. There debuging the zip as we speak because there are problems with it
 
Money, do you want to create a tutorial thread on how to update with cwm and your stock rom? Im using my phone to post. No computer available
 
I been on stock b09/stock recovery/cwm/cwm touch, with zip I got myself ota in cache and card with status 7 every time.

yes indeed zte blows. I have an absolute bone stock device and this update (that I got ota not from here) will not install. pathetic. Its the one we been talking about from money. I have my original backup I tried already. I was the first person to root this device btw so I have the very first full backup.

I hear you. ZTE is a joke. The only thing i can suggest is try cwm install. Over moneys b09 rar file. Thats how i got mine to work.
There is always the ZTE update tool for windows. Maybe its working. Idk
 
the problem may very well be the method which you use to install the b09 update. if you used the official ota well that is one thing, if you used one of our update zips it may have broken the ability to get the ota working by not updating those partitions. luckily, we have a zip on the way to fix all those problems. rand's problem though is his drivers dont seem to be recognizing
