In the lock screen settings Ink effects are greyed out!

In the lock screen settings, the ink effects are greyed out. But if I select the unlock effect "Ripple" the ink effect will be enabled. But no ink effects in the lock screen. Shouldn't it be enabled for the "Watercolour" effect?
Same here. maybe ink effect only works in Ripple.

Yes, this is confirmed, just with the one setting.

Settings/device/Lock screen/Unlock effect/Ripple/then below 'ink effect' should be available, just choose your colour
So basically when you change from watercolour to ripple, then the ink colour becomes available.
Edit: I am using the factory unlocked Note 3 European handset, for reference.

So once you have enabled the ripple effect, there are no options for setting the ink colour?

These are the colour options......
Take note of the last option, If a live wallpaper is set on the lock screen, the ink effect will be disabled automatically.
