Help inbox messages gone without my knowledge!

Please someone help, I use my HTC desire hd for a lot of work purposes therefore I had so many important messages in my inbox and today they are all gone I don't know how this has happened, I hardly used it today as its my day off and don't believe I could of done it accidentally, is there any reason for this happening and has it happened to anyone else? Is there a way of recovering all my messages?! If anyone has any knowledge about this problem please email me at queensuperior@hotmail.com thankyou

Did you try to find your answer on this forum before you asked your question?? Because there are plenty of threads talking about this issue!!

There was a bug in the latest update that occasionally deletes your messages... Solution is using a 3th party message app!

all my txt messages are gone too, i didnt delete them either

This happened to me a few days ago.
I contacted HTC support. All they suggested was using a sms backup app!
I then asked why this happened in the first place, The reply i got was "it could be a crash in the system and thats why all your text messages was deleted."

Agree with Lymbo, get yourself a backup SMS app. It hasn't happened to me yet but the first time I heard of this problem I got myself a backup app which auto backups every day.

Which backup tool are you using Springy?
I did have an sms backup, but when i restored them, all the names and messages got mixed up and arent under their correct contact names. It's quite frustrating.
