will the mobile hotspot work on my phone now that its rooted or will i only be able to use wired tethering. i guess my question is, if i use the mobile hot spot will i rack up a ton of unanticipated charges?

I only use pdanet. Its free (unless you need to access https sites) and it is by far the fastest tether app I have tried.
