Amaroth: I do recommend the Arkon dock if you don't want to have to remove the case every time you dock it. Curious about when you cracked yours...when it happened, did you pull on the corner closest to the lens? It is pretty thin up there because of the lens opening and the volume rocker cutout so I think pulling off the case from the bottom edge might be safer???

Yes. I was prying off the outer case from the top closest to the lens and it just snapped. So far I am more careful about taking off the case and my replacement is still intact. As for the Arkon, I saw it before online and have been wanting to get it. I just dont know where to buy it from. I guess I gotta search amazon.

Out of all the available "premium" cases for the Droid X, I think I'm sold on this one, that is I'm sold on everything BUT the price. I've owned several similar cases from Incipio in the past (particularly Feather) and have had several "crack" on me (though Incipio is great about replacing free of charge).

Hopefully they release some codes/coupons soon

I like the red/black myself. I read in a post somewhere where somebody said something like "it looks like red and orange got together and had a baby" and think that's a pretty accurate description...kind of a tangerine maybe?

Just wanted to update everyone and say how fantastic this case really is. The build quality of both the gel insert and hardened plastic spine are not only a perfect cut, but perfect feel and balance.

On top of that it's one of the few cases I've had that fits the Extended battery well without any customization.

And the best part is, I ordered it on Friday afternoon, chose free shipping mind you, and received it on Monday morning!

The holster that I'm using with my Incipio Silicrylic case is the one sold by Best Buy under the Platinum name which is made for Best Buy by Seidio and essentially the same case as the Seidio Surface Innocase. So, I'd say they're virtually the same. My personal preference having used both is the Incipio case because I think the fit is better and it offers more protection/shock absorption with the 2-piece silicone sleeve/acrylic back system. The Seidio is a 2-piece snap together plastic case. Incipio does not sell their own holster however for the Silicrylic, so that's why I'm using the Platinum (Seidio) holster.
