Accessories Incipio Feather Case

I ran out for some cheap gas (don't ask, or do!) and hit up the local Radio Shack (stopped at a different one on Friday, and they didn't have it).

Well, surprise! They actually had this case in stock. I generally order about 98% of everything online, but I figured it was close and I wanted something for the phone before Friday (w/o having to pay for express shipping, only could find it on Incipio direct).

Anyway...

It's an Incipio Feather case (black) - we're already using one on our iPhone 4, and I really like it. I wanted something to cover the back/side, provide better grip, and maybe offer a touch of drop resistance, but that's secondary.

The material is super thin, like 0.5mm or thinner, it basically adds no bulk to the phone. It does come with a screen protector, but I doubt I'll use it, I'm pretty gentle with my phones and they're usually just in my pocket (and I keep my rusty nails and broken glass in a +different+ pocket). Plus the design isn't edge-to-edut

The fit is tight, really clean, the ports/buttons are easily accessible. It uses that popular "soft touch" type material, which has an almost felt like surface. We have a Speck case that's like this. The nice thing vs. silicone is it's grippy, but it doesn't attract dust ~n~ gunk and wipes clean. It also isn't so sticky that it's hard to get out of a pocket!

I'll have some pics in a bit.

Thanks for the great pic's,
I just picked one up and for those of you with a car dock, I am happy to report that it does fit in the dock with the case on!

Hmm. I'd been thinking about/looking at the blue version of that case...but in looking at your pictures, I think I might stick with my body glove since all the edges are protected. Thanks for the pics though! :D

I just picked this one up today too. I was surprised that the Shack actually had this one in black. I've seen only blue ones one that ATT sells on their site plus they don't even have it in their stores...

But this case is AWESOME!!! The case feels sooooo nice in my hands. No so grippy where it attracts lint or sticks in your pocket but good enough to have me feel safe in not letting it slip out of my hands. It is very thin and so lightweight. Doesn't feel like it added any bulk at all. It also comes with a screen protector which is also a plus.

All in all i HIGHLY RECOMMEND this case. My GF has a Incipio case for her iPhone 4 and LOVES it. I think I will buy Incipio cases for all my phones from now on.

I had this case for a couple of days and it feels like the Incase Slider. Awesome case, not bulky and comes with a free screen protector ! Not sure if I'll look for another case, I am pretty satisfied !
This also fit with my Speck Holdster !!

Looks just like the kind of case I would want, what kind of prices are we looking at?

$24.99 at radio shack and same price on the Incipio website. I think that's a great especially if you look around and see that most cases at retail stores are going for $30+ and it comes with a screen protector

It is kind of like the seidio incase but its much more thinner and I think the material feels a little bit softer.

Does anyone know if the front side of the phone is exposed when placed face-down? Basically, does any part of the Feather extend slightly beyond the front bezel of the Atrix?

Thanks,

$24.95 at the Shack, basically MSRP. There's a 30% off coupon for Incipio direct circulating too. I usually would just order online, but it was going to cost like $20 to get it here in a couple of days, and I wanted for a trip this weekend.

Is does a tiny bit, and I believe if you put it glass down on a flat, very smooth surface, it won't make contact. It's not as prominent as something like a Seidio Innocase though.

You can kind of see in my pics.

Adamandroid: Are you able to completely close the top latch on the dock when using the case? When I dock mine with the case the lip of the latch catches the edge of the case and doesn't lock the phone in securely.

I love the feather case as well, it offers decent protection and doesn't get in the way!

OP: What did you install to get those toggles on your screen like that, the sliding toggles?

what about the widget in the bottom, where did you get that? The phone has something similar (i think in the android widget section) but it didnt include battery, etc. How did you do that?

Yeah, the lock screen is Widget Locker, really cool, though I believe it's only a pay app (~$2, well worth it). The widget at the bottom (which can be added to the lock screen thanks to Widget Locker) is called WidgetSoid, it's pretty slick, you actually build the buttons on it using a UI, and there's like 20+ options.

Hmm, I'm looking for a good case for the screen. In particular, one that will distribute the weight of the face into its shock-absorbing shell. this one looks like it might have saved my eve.

Is that a raised edge, of a millimeter or so, I see there? How sturdy is that?

@jleep: No your right, the top latch doesn't sit flush like it would without the case, but since its spring loaded it seems to keep enough pressure on it to keep it from coming loose in my experience.

Seems like Incipio case offeres very less protection if you drop mobile..
Any links for body glove case? (other than ATT)

I picked one today at Radio Shack. Certainly less bulky than my Impact case. They also have Sandisk 8gb micro sd cards for sale, $19.99.

I just ordered the feather case online. After looking at several different cases I thought it was the best for what I want. After some googling I found a site that had it for 13.99 and I even googled a coupon for the site that took care of the cost of shipping so it was 15 and some change shipped. I'm looking forward to getting it in the mail soon.

I have the standard dock and the Feather case and it looks like it will fit with the case on but it doesn't unfortunately.

It will fit if you remove the dock's 'upper layer'.

I love this case. The screen protector that comes with it is really good too.

I just ordered this a few days ago and thanks for the pics. I bought the Otterbox rubber one and it fits way to loose. I wanted that glove fit.
