Help incoming call accept/decline slide

Newbie
Hi
Over the last few weeks I have noticed that when receiving calls whulst the phone is in my pocket, there is a tendency to either answer or decline the call whilst pulling it out of my pocket. this is due to the accept/decline slide being to drag up or down.

Is there anyway to change this slide to a side to side or rotary.

This is really starting p!ss me off:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Don't you 'blip' the power button when you've finished what you're doing with the phone? It locks it and minimises power consumption.

Yes but when you have an incoming call, the screen is already active and all that need to do to unlock the phone is to drag the bar down. So if you unintentionally slip a finger down the screen as you're taking it out of your pocket, it unlocks and then a single touch can accept/decline.

This happened to me today. Was quite annoying to be honest, as it was a call from British Gas so I couldn't call back without having to go through all the automation stuff... couldn't be bothered in the end.

This happens to me almost every time I get a call. Every time it happens I remind myself that next time the phone rings I have to grip it at the sides to take it out of my pocket (but I always forget)

I've sent an E mail to HTC to see if there is anything that can be changed, if not it certainly makes them aware of the issue & hopefully they'll address the problem quickly.

looking through forums there appears to be a fair few people who have the same issue on the DHD & I think evo.

There appears to be no apps to change this. I bought widget locker in the hope that would help, but unfortunately not, that only works on screen lock slide.. PLEASE CAN WL BE UPGRADED TO ALLOW CHANGE OF CALL SLIDE AS WELL

u can probably do one thing...

change the lock screen from default to pattern, and then lock ur screen will ask for a pattern unlock which is not like simple sliding down to unlock screen

so maybe by doing this when u get a call while ur phone screen is locked, you need to go though ur pattern also....u can try once and see if it works

I have the same problem as the op, tried many different locking apps but none work how I would like. I also use the 'lock with pattern' but it's automatically disabled when a call comes in

what i have done is download an app called "No Lock". It disables the lock screen so when you get an incoming call the screen is different. It shows two buttons at the bottom of the screen, Accept and Decline, rather than a slider. I like it better. But keep in mind this disables the lockscreen altogether, not just for calls.

buy a case and while the phone is in ur pocket keep it in the case...so while taking out of ur pocket the call wont be affected

What he said ;)
You should buy a case anyway to keep the phone protected from scratches ect...
You can buy an official leather case which is a perfect fit and looks sexy :p
Will solve the swipe problem.

Hi,

have you found a "good" solution for this "My pocket answers incoming calls" problem? It happens to me quiet often that pulling the mobile from the trousers accepts or declines a phone cal...
Really annoying.

If anyone has rotary accept/decline phone call app, please post it here.

Cheers,

MickeyMiner

I agree with those saying get a case. I have the official HTC case and ive never had a problem. Simple keep it in the case and when you get a call pull the little thing to get the phone out and answer the call.
