Help Incoming Google Voice calls . . .

Is there a way to adjust how fast the screen blanks out when a call comes in? I have a Google Voice number, and try to get everybody who calls me to use it. To pick up an incoming call, I have to (1) unlock the screen; (2) listen to the incoming message from Google Voice; (3) hit "1" to accept the call. However, the screen seems to instantly go blank in step (2), and I end up fumbling around trying to get the screen to come back on and to get the keypad to display so that I can press "1". Is there a way to keep the screen on for a few more seconds, or some other, more streamlined way, to deal with incoming calls to my Google Voice number?

(This is my first smartphone, so it may be that I just need some repetition to become more at-ease with the process.)

One solution is to turn off call screening in google voice. It passes through caller ID, so there isn't much reason to use the audible screening.

Also, the screen dimming is a nice feature. I don't know if it can be turned off, but the screen comes back pretty quickly once you move it away from your face. If it's not coming back quickly you may not be moving it far enough away.

I agree with zrobot. I've been using Google Voice without screening for years, it's the only phone number I ever give out. I tend to think the Google Voice caller screening feature is discourteous or even borderline offensive to callers
