Help Increasing FONT Size

Hi all. I am currently evaluating the HTC Hero.

Great phone, tiny fonts. Is there an easy way to have ALL fonts be bigger on this phone?

Text messages, phone call logs, all have fonts too small for my wife's eyes.

Is there a way to just increase all the font sizes on this phone?

Joe

hi,
i have not tried this app yet but it advertises than you can increase the font size on your phone. the app name is "Spare Parts".

maybe this apps solves your problem!

when you install this app you will see a "font size" option... please, note that the developer updated the app for 1.6 and some people are experiencing issues.

Thanks. I am looking for a way to increase *ALL* fonts across the phone, like one notch bigger.

There is no built in way of doing this now? Sounds kinda of sad

I checked the User Guide and don't see any mention of how to change font size. (Note: I don't own this phone and have no experience with it ... I just downloaded a copy of the User Guide from Sprint's site so I could do a little research on the Hero.)

I have the phone on trial for 30 days. Great phone if you can read the tiny text.

It's like reading this! But much smaler :)

I am trying to figure out how to increase ALL fonts proporsionately up by one notch. Been through the entire settings, found no such option :(

Cool thanks.

I select bigger fonts, the screen updates with bigger fonts :) , then how do I save that selection?

When I hit menu key, the setting is lost and I see the original size fonts if I try to text for example.

When I go back to Spare Parts and select font size, it's back to "Normal".

wow, what a luck... i guess it's a bug on the app! might wanna send an email to the developer (you could do so from the app in the market)!

Furthermore, I tried another hack - downloading BetterCut, and setting the font from the Display shortcut using that app, and this also fails on the HTC Hero.

Is there any other way to work this out?

Does 1.6 allow bigger fonts? How about 2.0?

I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution to the tiny font size... does any app work in making the fonts across-the-board larger??

My parents could use an Android phone with large fonts. I don't know how to "watch" a thread on this forum, so I hope posting here will watch it and notify me of new replies. Sorry for the spam.

I'm moving this to the support and troubleshooting thread, where it should get some.

Hi all, my friend had similar problem and solved it (on this phone) with app "Font Changer". Now - he never changed the font type, but just the LDC density. That said - I see there are also apps like LCD Density Changer - Lite and lv.n3o.lcddensity_0.1.1 Search and try... Cheers
