Incredible 2 cannot connect to PC

Previously, I could connect to PC to transfer files from my handset (phone) HTC Incredible 2. When I connected, a pop up would appear on my phone screen asking me to select a default type:

Charge Only
HTC Sync
Disk Drive
Internet Connection Mode
Media sync
Internet pass-through

And the correct selection would be Disk Drive so that I could transfer.

Well, after an update, that is no longer an option. Yet, Verizon wants me to send the phone back- without being about to get my 1200 photos of my brand new baby off of it. They are crazy!

Has anyone else recently had this problem and was it solved?
 
I had the same problem a couple weeks ago..... I just backed everything up with TB and also MyBackup...... reflashed the ROM and everything was fine again
 
You can get your photos off your phone by removing your SD card and plugging it into a card reader on your PC. That is where your photos are stored.
One more reason I prefer Android over the iPhone.
